Jump Start Your Vacation - A 4 Day Itinerary for The Grove Indian Pass

Ready to rest and recover? At The Grove Indian Pass, you can be sure to do just that! However, if you want to get the best out of your experience, we’ve put together this simple itinerary to help plan your perfect stay. This itinerary is perfect to pair with your entire week and will help you plan a few days in during your stay.

Check-In Day: Before you check in, you’ll want to ensure you are properly supplied for the week. Indian Pass is a little bit of a drive from any town. Port St. Joe will be the best place for you to stock up. The Piggly Wiggly is a locally owned grocery store providing quality groceries, including gluten-free and other allergen-friendly options. They also have a hot deli and hand-rolled sushi. However, if you’re in a pinch or do not want to shop, several Concierge Services can stock The Grove’s refrigerators and pantry. Plus, many of them offer other rental services like beach chairs and umbrellas.

Once you’ve arrived, you’ll want to unload and explore all the different places The Grove offers. Families can utilize several common areas for game nights, comfortable chairs and swings for reading, and plenty of outdoor space for many different adventures.

Let dinner tonight be easy! A low country boil provided by Skully’s is the perfect option. Take a table outside and eat on the grounds or on the screened-in porches.

Day 2: If you’re an early riser, you’ll be able to catch the sunrise over Indian Pass Lagoon on the private dock. Once everyone is awake, walk across Indian Pass Road to the private beach access for a day of play. We have provided some items for you to use, like a beach cart to make it easier to get to the shore. Indian Pass is an incredible place to find shells! Several people have found Junonia and other rare shells. Try having a shell scavenger hunt and see who gets the most different types of shells. Speaking of scavenger hunts, keep your eyes peeled for the numerous hot air balloons scattered throughout the property.

Today is all about the beach, so your day will be finished watching the sunset while enjoying a bonfire by Light Up Your Night Beach Bonfires. They will come to the location and set up a fire with as many chairs as you would like. They have several packages that include s’mores and other entertainment.

Day 3: Get ready to explore St. Joseph Bay! There are a few options to enjoy a day on the bay. If you’re comfortable with boating, you can rent a pontoon from several outfitters. Make sure to bring snorkels to explore under the shore. Happy Ours Kayak & Bike Outpost is the perfect company to use if you'd like to do kayaking. They are located right on St. Joseph Bay from Cape San Blas, and the access to the water is convenient for everyone in your group. Lastly, rent a charter and fish for redfish, trout, and other inshore species.

For dinner, if you caught fish, have a bay-to-table dinner at the house and enjoy dinner around our cypress table. However, another option is to enjoy dinner at Indian Pass Raw Bar. This restaurant is the oldest one in Gulf County and is right up the road from The Grove. “The Raw Bar” is a crowd favorite for raw oysters and steamed shrimp. Their menu also features non-seafood options.

Day 4: This is a great time to take a break from the sun and head to Port St. Joe for the day. Port St. Joe has some great options for shopping, eating, and historical tours. Port St. Joe Golf Cart Tours is the perfect way to enjoy the views and learn a history lesson. Don’t forget to stop by the Cape San Blas Lighthouse to see panoramic views of St. Joseph Bay and Port St. Joe. End the day by visiting one of Port St. Joe’s waterfront restaurants and finishing the night with a sweet treat from Sugar Shack or Shoobie's!.
