The Forgotten Coast

Old Florida lifestyle evokes a nostalgic charm, characterized by its laid-back, sun-soaked way of life. Picture quaint coastal towns, historic cottages, and sprawling orange groves, where time seems to move a little slower. It’s a world of front porch swings, fresh seafood dinners, and evenings spent watching the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. This timeless lifestyle celebrates simplicity, community, and a deep connection to nature, offering a glimpse into Florida’s rich history and enduring allure.

After more than 115 years without any additional commercial development along this stretch of scenic highway, an "Old Florida" style building has risen among the cabbage palms, across the highway from the Raw Bar. The Indian Pass General Store now provides a wide variety of merchandise for visitors and locals alike, with an updated version of the classic Old Florida feel that will make you nostalgic for days gone by. Stop by to see us and stock up on groceries, beer, wine, locally sourced favorites like Tupelo Honey, fishing supplies, bait and tackle, and MUCH more!

Indian Pass Raw Bar

Here you won’t find a hostess and you won’t find a dress code that requires a suit and tie. What you will find is friendly locals in tank tops and flip flops. We’re known for our casual dining atmosphere, our wonderful food, and friendly service.

When you get here, just grab a seat and get a drink from the cooler! Then, find a waitress and let her know what you want to eat. We promise when you leave you’ll be asking yourself why you haven’t visited before!

St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge

St. Vincent Island, a 12,300 acre undeveloped Gulf of Mexico barrier island accessible only by boat, is the most visited Refuge unit. Paved boat ramps with no cost parking are available at the end of Gulf County Road 30-B (Indian Pass Peninsula Road) and at Ten Foot Hole under the John Gorrie Bridge in Apalachicola. St. Vincent Island offers miles of undeveloped beaches and unimproved trails for hiking, bicycling, wildlife viewing, nature study, and photography. Bank fishing is allowed year round. Three public hunts are offered each year from November – January.
